This is what I used, but keep in mind you can change up the ingredients that go INSIDE the bowls. Get creative!
Clean the balloons thoroughly with soap and water - you don't want your chocolate bowls to taste like plastic!
Blow up your balloon to the desired size of your bowl.
A note BEFORE you melt your chocolateConstantly stir the chocolate - don't let it burn!
I used a oven safe bowl (as I don't have a double boiler) over a pot. Boil 1 1/2 cup water. Turn the fire off then place the bowl on top of the steaming water. Slowly add & stir the chocolate morsels.
Dip balloon into chocolate - try to evenly coat it. Realize it can be trial and error. You can do this!
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place the completed balloons in the freezer for 10 minutes, or in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Make sure the chocolate is fully hardened before taking them out!
Once you take the bowls out, poke a small hole at the top of the balloon and let the air seep out. Then slowly and gently pull the balloon away from the chocolate.
Here are my bowls! Not perfect, but still cute and totally edible!
You can put whatever you want in your bowls! I mixed a spoonful of the vanilla instant pudding to 1/2 cup of whipped cream. I put the whipped cream mixture in the bottom of my bowls.
Add your fruit and toppings and you're all done! Enjoy!
